Wednesday 6 December, Grey Coat Hospital School Westminster (12 Greycoat Pl, Westminster, London SW1P 2DY), 10am – 4.15pm
The Commission on Religious Education is holding a consultation event, to seek the views of teachers, SACRE members and other interested parties on its Interim Report. This will be a highly interactive event at which commissioners will wish to hear views on four key topics:
- Translating the National Entitlement into practice
- The role of SACREs
- Holding schools to account for the provision and quality of RE
- Improving the quality of teaching and learning.
Commissioners will present their recommendations and thoughts so far on each of the above areas, and there will be opportunities to discuss in groups and feed back your views.
The Commission is keen to hear from as many members of the profession as possible, so if you would like to attend, please email Ffion Cook at [email protected] as soon as possible. Places are limited, so we will send you a formal invitation to confirm your attendance. Priority will be given to serving teachers and those from seldom heard groups. If you are not able to attend or do not receive an invitation after emailing us, please contribute your views via our written consultation at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CoREConsult1. The written consultation closes at 9am on 4 December 2017.
